What Time Is It?

Slow down when checking the time on your devices.

Tip Description

So often we check the time on our phones, laptops or even watches. Yet this can be off-putting if someone is with us or if we are constant "checking." To slow yourself down change the time format to make your mind do some extra work.

All devices will display time in 12-hour format or 24-hour format. If you're in Europe or the rest of the world, try switching your devices to 12-hour format.

If you're in the US and you're not one of the armed services, consider switching your phone to 24 hour time.

How it works

  1. Go to "Settings"
  2. "General", "Date / Time"
  3. 24 Hour Time -On

Bonus tip

On your Laptop, try living without your time visible. Allow yourself to be entirely in the present!
